Ewan McKenzie has come out today and announced Mark Gasnier is almost ready for Wallaby selection. I have watched two Stade Francais games over the last few months and barely knew Gaz was playing. Gaz was renowned for his footwork and speed in Rugby League but doesn’t get his chance to use his skillset in the game of Rugby Union. If he is ready for selection in the Wallaby’s side then Australian Union is in a worse position then I thought. Gaz may turn out to be one hell of a Union player but he is dead set ordinary at the moment and I think Ewan is getting carried away and looking for a little more publicity, as he of course coaches Stade Francais.
